What makes the BRAIDFIT BALACLAVA unique?

With a regular balaclava, your braid has to go underneath the fabric, which can affect the fit around your neck and reduce protection against the wind.

The Idimota BRAIDFIT BALACLAVA features an opening at the back, positioned perfectly just below your helmet. This allows your braid to pass through comfortably while the balaclava stays fitted neatly around your neck. The result: the inside of your helmet stays clean, your skin is protected from the wind, and you look stylish and feminine on every ride!
Can I only wear a braid with this balaclava?

The BRAIDFIT BALACLAVA works with a variety of hairstyles. The opening at the back is wide and the fabric is stretchy, allowing you to comfortably wear a ponytail, bun, or even two braids.

Do you have short hair? No problem, the balaclava can simply be worn like a regular balaclava. The opening does not affect the fit.
I have very thick hair. Will the balaclava still fit?

Absolutely! The BraidFit Balaclava is specifically designed for women with different hair thicknesses. The opening at the back is wide and the material is stretchy, allowing it to adapt to your hair volume.

What's the best way to put on the balaclava?

We’re happy to guide you step by step:

  1. Pull the balaclava over your head.
    This is usually easiest before putting on your motorcycle jacket.
  2. Make sure the opening at the back is positioned exactly in the center of your neck.
  3. Adjust the face opening so your eyes are fully uncovered.
  4. Gather your hair and pull it through the opening at the back.
  5. Put on your helmet while slightly looking upward. Before fully putting on your helmet, you can also gently tuck the mouth and nose area into the sides of the helmet. This helps keep the balaclava in place while putting on your helmet.
  6. Tuck the balaclava into your motorcycle jacket around the neck for optimal wind protection.
  7. Check that everything fits comfortably and adjust the opening around your eyes if needed.

Is the balaclava suitable for all seasons?

The BRAIDFIT BALACLAVA can be worn all year round, but thanks to its lightweight and breathable material, it is particularly comfortable in spring and summer.
How do I wash the balaclava?

We recommend hand washing the balaclava to help maintain its quality. If you prefer to use a washing machine, choose a cold cycle (max. 30°C), wash it inside out in a laundry bag, and preferably together with dark, delicate fabrics. Do not use fabric softener. Let the balaclava air dry.

We recommend washing the BRAIDFIT BALACLAVA after every ride to keep it fresh and hygienic, as sweat, dirt, and makeup may build up on the fabric during use.

Tip: Although the balaclava dries quickly, we recommend having at least two balaclavas if you ride daily. That way, you’ll always have a clean one ready for your next ride!
Can I return the balaclava?

You have 14 days to return the product, as long as the packaging remains unopened.

Because the balaclava is worn directly on the face, we cannot accept opened products for return due to hygiene reasons. This allows us to guarantee that every product arrives clean and safe for the next customer!
